TENUTA PONTE

The lands are well exposed and characterized by a temperate and Mediterranean climate, with an optimal dose of humidity, given by the spring rains and the presence of the Calore river, for the Taurasi area and the Sabato river for the Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo areas. All these elements, together with the nature of the soil itself (mainly calcareous clay), ensure the most suitable conditions for the production of fine grapes and wines.

The name “Tenuta Ponte” takes inspiration from a bridge built by the Romans during the early imperial age. This bridge is more commonly known as the “devils’ bridge” because ancient legends tell that the bridge was built in a single night by some demons who used it as a meeting place during stormy nights. Tenuta Ponte is the result of strengths, experiences and skills, all put at the service of an idea: the production of Great Wines.

Tasting Notes

Chardonnay imparts depth and complexity for the overall balance while Chenin Blanc lends citrus and hints of honey for a creamy texture. Colombard’s higher acidity provides structure, length and a pleasant minerality that is supplemented by Ugni Blanc’s fresh fruit profile.

“I wanted a wine that would celebrate life, yesterday and today, exalting its uniqueness, its extraordinary capacity to elicit emotion. A champagnewith expressive, dynamic aromas, as agile and sinuous as an S-curve, with a fresh, vertical, powerful and energetic character,”
