The Vineyards
THE LAND
GRAPES
The company is based in the municipality of Luogosano, in the heart of the green Irpinia, it works patiently to select the best lands, carefully choosing the vines.
The vineyards are located on steep hills and volcanic soils, creating ideal conditions for growing grapes.
The production of grapes takes place mainly in the company’s vineyards trained using the spurred cordon, guyot and espalier systems.
The perfect terrain
The lands are well exposed and characterized by a temperate and Mediterranean climate, with an optimal dose of humidity, given by the spring rains and the presence of the Calore river, for the Taurasi area and the Sabato river for the Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo area. All these elements, together with the nature of the soil itself (mainly clayey calcareous), ensure the most suitable conditions for the production of fine grapes and wines. In the internal vineyards, the Greco (the ancient Aminea Gemina, from which Greco di Tufo is born) and the Fiano (identified with the ancient Apian grapes, from which Fiano di Avellino is derived), the Aglianico (a very ancient vine that has given rise to excellent quality wines such as Taurasi DOCG) stand out.

low rainfall
rocky soil
